This iconic bag is loved by all the fashionistas and was also highly featured in the famous Sex & the City show.
Born in 1997, the Baguette has become one of the most emblematic accessories of the house of Fendi and, during the years, it has been produced in more than 700 models, now celebrated in a photographic book from Rizzoli called The Fendi Baguette Book. Using 250 images the catalogue goes through the astonishing variety of Baguettes, from the classic ones, to the limited edition created by some of the most talented contemporary artist such as Damien Hirst, Francesco Vezzoli and Zinoo Park.
Last but not least, as part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Baguette, Fendi is also reissuing six of the Baguette’s best-selling versions, chosen by the creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi. I was just recently at the Fendi store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, where the six bags were on display. Sorry for the bad photo!
